В субботу на живописной горной равнине в восточной части Кыргызстана стартовали Всемирные игры кочевников. В них примут участие спортсмены из 40 стран, включая Россию и США, где кочевые традиции сильны. В течении недели они будут соревноваться в 23 традиционных среднеазиатских видах спорта, таких как орлиная охота, стрельба из лука, соревнования наездников и многих других. Изюминкой соревнований будут традиционные конные соревнования Кок-бору, в которых наездники на лошадях борются за тушу козла. В церемонии открытия игр принимал участие голливудский актер Стивен Сигал.
